| JOY! World Ministries makes it possible for residents of retirement homes in the Birmingham, Alabama, area to attend worship services. Although they are no longer able to attend their own churches, we take "church" to them. Each Sunday, the residents gather in the "living room" of their assisted living homes and sing old familiar hymns. They listen to a devotion from the Bible that expresses God's love for them. They have gotten to know the ministry team, and the ministry team has grown close to them. Both sides look forward to getting together each week! We can help you do the same! If you would like to brighten the lives of these "senior saints," it's easier than you think! With the help of our easy-to-follow manual, you can immediately begin showing God's love to the seniors around you. |

| Serving others costs very little, but pays huge returns. For the slight cost of a CD-player (which you probably already own) and a few CD's, you can make the difference of a lifetime to people who can no longer attend the church they loved all their lives. The effect you make also carries over to their families, who will sometimes join your visits. Many times we have staff from the homes join us. After all, they often work on Sunday mornings and miss attending their own church! |
